Hi.

WE'RE ALMOST AT THE END!

If you've been following along and crafting these filter costumes with me you must be pretty exhausted like I was all of last week, but have no fear- the end is near! And the end involves you and your friends having the chillest yet coolest costumes at any party you go to this weekend so it's a fun party light at the end of the tunnel.

I wanted to bring you another relatively simple tutorial before we finish with my favorite one tomorrow morning, so today's post is going to be all about the hippie/flower crown filter! Initially I was going to make this crown out of the realistic-looking fake flowers from my local craft store, but the flowers in the actual filter look kinda fake and cartoonish so I decided to make my flowers look like that too! So grab your hipster flask and Coachella tickets because we're jumping right into this Snapchat Flower Crown Tutorial!

Flower Crown Filter

I know I say this way too much but how cute is this look?!

Total Time: 40 minutes

Materials:

I got everything here from Jo-Ann Fabrics (of course) except for the foam sheets which I could only find at Walmart

Step 1

Starting with whichever color sheet your little heart desires, draw various flower shapes using your sharpie. I like to alternate between the size and style of the flowers to keep it interesting! Once you've drawn a huge variety of flower and leaves (believe me you'll use way more than you expect) you can cut them all out and set them aside.

Step 2

Using your medium thick wire, make a large circle that is big enough to fit around your head but not too big that it falls down (have someone measure for you if needed). Use thinner wire to attach the ends so you have a full circle, and get ready to glue yet again!

Step 3

Start gluing those flowers baby! You're gonna want to make sure that the crown is evenly covered the whole way around with an equal amount of leaves and flowers. As for the actual gluing technique, I tend to just go ham and get glue everywhere and it's worked well for me so far!

And just like that you're already finished! It was only 3 STEPS can you believe it?! Ya me neither this is crazy. Anyways, here are some pictures of my beautiful model Madi rocking her flower crown.

Wow this was officially the shortest tutorial ever! Part of me is sad that these snap tutorials are coming to an end with my last post coming tomorrow morning, but I really hope you guys have loved making them as much as I did. Don't forget to tag me @tesnialys in your work so I can share some of my favorites on my page :)

See you tomorrow morn' for the last Snapchat costume post!
